Rose's Organic Farm
Our Wool: Grown with Care, Traced with Integrity
At the heart of our wool products lies a simple promise: to respect the land, the animals, and the people behind every fibre.
We’re proud to source our wool from Rose Dale’s Organic Farm, a family-run, 200-acre regenerative farm nestled in the rolling hills of Chearsley, Buckinghamshire. This picturesque farm has been in Rose’s family for over 60 years and is now run by Rose, who took over from her father in 2018 with a vision to create a farm that not only sustains but heals the land.
A Farm Rooted in Regeneration
Since 2019, Rose has transformed the farm from mixed arable to pasture-fed livestock, creating a resilient system built on biodiversity and soil health. The farm is home to three rare, heritage sheep breeds — Gotlands, Oxford Downs, and Greyfaced Dartmoors — each contributing to the ecological balance of the land and the rich variety of wool we use in our products.
What makes this farm truly special is its deep-rooted commitment to environmental stewardship. Rose believes, as we do, that agriculture should regenerate rather than deplete. Her farming practices work to enhance biodiversity, restore soil health, and protect water and air quality — shaping landscapes that nourish both wildlife and people.
Certified to the Highest Standards
Soil Association Organic
– Ensuring the highest standards in animal welfare, soil care, and sustainable farming.
Pasture for Life
– Guaranteeing that animals are 100% grass-fed for life, supporting natural grazing and low-impact farming.
These certifications reflect a genuine, measurable commitment to sustainable and ethical farming — and they underpin everything we do with the wool sourced from this farm.
From Farm to Fibre — Fully Traceable Wool
Together with FibreTrace®, we’ve built a wool supply chain that is not only local, ethical, and regenerative — but also traceable from farm to final product.
At the point of shearing, every batch of wool is embedded with FibreTrace’s luminescent pigment, creating a permanent, invisible marker that stays with the fibre through every step of its journey. This allows us to scientifically verify the provenance of our wool and back up every sustainability claim we make — giving you full confidence in the integrity of what you’re buying.
Supporting Resilient British Farming
Our partnership with Rose isn’t just about sourcing beautiful wool. With our consultancy sister company, we’ve worked alongside her to:
Develop a sustainability policy and action plan for the farm
Build a closed-loop UK wool supply chain
Conduct a carbon and ecological baseline to measure environmental progress
Every product made with Rose’s wool carries with it a legacy — of family, biodiversity, innovation, and care.
