Wool Traceability

Traceability: From Farm to Fabric

At Nafi, we believe that true sustainability begins with radical transparency. That’s why we’ve partnered with FibreTrace®, a world leader in traceability technology, to embed accountability directly into the fibres of our wool — starting at the farm level.

Why Traceability Matters

Consumers today deserve more than vague promises. They deserve proof — of ethical sourcing, environmental responsibility, and supply chain integrity. With FibreTrace, we are making that proof visible, measurable, and verifiable.

How it Works

Each batch of wool is embedded with a proprietary luminescent pigment at the source — the moment it is sheared on the farm. This pigment is:

  • Non-toxic and permanent, remaining in the fibre throughout its life cycle.

  • Scannable at every stage, allowing independent verification from farm to finish.

  • Unique to each source, tying every product back to its exact origin.

At any point in the production chain — whether in spinning mills, dye houses, or final garment manufacturing — the wool can be tested to verify its authenticity, provenance, and sustainability claims.

This Means

Confidence in the Source

– Know exactly where your wool comes from, and that it was produced with care for animals, people, and planet.

Verifiable Sustainability

– Backed by real data, not marketing claims.

Transparent Storytelling

– From sheep to shelf, every product carries a story you can trust.

About FibreTrace®

FibreTrace® is a pioneering traceability technology company working to bring transparency and accountability to global fibre supply chains. Their mission is to make textile provenance visible, trusted, and accessible by embedding luminescent pigments into natural fibres at the source. These pigments create a digital fingerprint that can be scanned and verified at every stage of production — allowing brands, suppliers, and consumers to track the true journey of a fibre from farm to finished product. FibreTrace is helping shape a more honest and regenerative fashion industry by merging science, data, and sustainability into one verifiable system.

Traceability isn't just a tool—it’s a commitment to accountability, authenticity, and responsible production. We’re proud to lead with a model that prioritises radical transparency from soil to finished garment. This is part of our long-term vision to create textiles that are ethically made, scientifically backed, and truly regenerative.
